Bonita Springs YMCA assures parents they are open and safe

The YMCA in Bonita Springs is reassuring the public they are following CDC guidelines and are open and safe.

This is after a parent came forward saying another parent tested positive and exposed staff and parents.

The YMCA says that is not the case.

THEIR MEDICAL RECORDS, AND GETCARE-RELATED ANSWERS, INCLUDINGCOVID-19 TEST RESULTS.THIS MORNING THE BONITA SPRINGSY-M-C-A SAYS THEY HAVE A PLAN TOKEEP CHILDREN AT THEIR SUMMERCAMP SAFE...THEY ALSO SAY NO ONEAT THE CAMP HAS TESTED POSITIVEFOR CORONAVIRUS.BUT A PARENT TELLS FOX 4, THAT’SNOT TRUE.THE PARENT, WHO DOES NOT WANT TOBE IDENTIFIED, TELLS US TWOPARENTS HAVE TESTED POSITIVE...AND MAY HAVE EXPOSED CAMP STAFCHILDREN, AND THEIR FAMILIES.BUT THE Y-M-C-A SAYS, IT’S AMISUNDERSTANDING.so we have receivedcommunication from a parent ofone of the children in our campsfrom a previous session, who letus know that she has testedpositive, and she had removedher child from camp.
