The first ever "foodstock" concert is happening right now at american legion post 104 in terre haute.

News 10's richard solomon stopped by to learn how the event is offering help to local food pantries by serving up music.

Richar} what happens when you combine good food and live music?

Well you end up with foodstock.

Some say this is a great way to spend a hot summer day.

V} it's the first year for the event.

One of the organizers jmmy hollingsworth says he wanted dto find a way to hep the community and local artists.

So this was created..

"nats" your entry fee is a can or non perishable food item.

You get to enjoy local artists rock out.

The food raised goes to catholic charaties.

So} "there's a lot of people right now in need, people need food.

Music is my life and it was a way for me to be able to play music and give everybody a chance to play and everybody a chance to enjoy some live music" richar} this is going on until 11 tonight hollingsworth says next year he hopes to have an even bigger and better event.
