One dead in Wednesday night crash in Clay County

One person died as a result of a crash Wednesday night in Clay County.

Identified the name of the person who died in a wreck last night.

Sheriff eddie scott said the crash happened around 8-30 last night in the una community.

The deputy coroner said a passenger in the vehicle, 50 year old sheila griffin died.

Sheriff scott said the driver lost control of his vehicle and it flipped.

She said the impact threw griffin from the vehicle.

As for the male driver, the sheriff said he suffered serious injuries.
