Coach's Corner: Houston County Part 2

BILL SHANKS CONTINUES HIS CONVERSATION WITH HOUSTON COUNTY HEAD FOOTBALL COACH RYAN CRAWFORD IN THE COACH'S CORNER.

Around middle georgia, health c1 3 b13 in cali starting his fourth season, is that had cuts to the bears, because ryan crawford for because ryan because ryan crawford for house in cali starting his fourth season, is that had cuts to the bears, come to greg season last year, 76, a couple of playoff victories, all offense, however has replaced its quarterback.

And every time that happens, the coach has to hold its breath, right.

Yeah, for sure.

We've, we've, uh, we've had two quarterbacks in eight years here.

So, uh, jake fromm and max rigney.

So we've, uh, we've been very fortunate that the quarterback position, uh, to go through growing pains when they're young and then reap the benefit as they get older.

And, uh, you know, but we have a, uh, we have a couple of guys that are got several guys that are competing for that, uh, that we feel are maybe capable of doing it.

But, uh, first off we have senior, there'll be, uh, they played previously before us and he's been playing quarterback for all these years.

And, uh, we feel like he, uh, he has a chance to be a good player and does some believe, a little bit different type player than we've had there.

You know, somebody that's a little bit more dual threatened and all those things, but, uh, christian longhorn is his name and christian has done a good job.

We have several other guys that are compete for that spot as well.

You're running back corn chasing, and we'll be back at this thing here that be important for him to have a good year.

And he's got a good line in front of him.

So that should help you run game this year, especially it takes time for your quarterback to get into in the flow of things, right?

Yeah, for sure.

We, uh, we, you know, late in the playoffs last year, we had a chance to run the ball a little bit and get some experience on office plan and saw some really good defenses in our region.

And those guys got a lot of experience and, um, we have, uh, corey station, it was a really good running back for us and he's a, he's a big strong kid.

And then he works really hard, great kid.

And then we have another kid.

Tyler williams has also played force to give their last year.

So those two guys were our quarterback.

Uh, you know, we're excited about that receiver position.

We have a lot of guys that are unproven that hadn't had a chance and they're gonna get a chance this year to make a name for yourself, or there's some good players out there as well.

Uh, play-making ability.

And that's a, that's the key, uh, you know, you, you know, in this day in time, you gotta be able to get, throw the ball around the perimeter, uh, when people want to stop the run.

So, uh, we gotta find a way to do that.

And, uh, and those guys have been working hard, always tough in region one game on the 4th of september against perry crawford.

Thank you as always
