Parents feel about their child heading back to class during the pandemic?

Wtva's alexis jones spoke with parents after school ended today and has their reaction... just a few hours ago, parents picked up their kids here at oak hill academy.

I spoke to a few of them about the safety measures the school put in place.

"there's just, there's so many new protocols in place that i feel really good about it."

Lauran ellis- parent trt: 5 (she spells it with an a) both of lauran ellis' children attend oak hill.

She said she wasn't nervous for her kids to go back to school.

"i know that our teachers and administrators did a lot of work."

William aycock, was also in the pick up line.

He has two grandchildren that started school here this week, aycock didn't want to be on camera but he feels confident in administrators' plan to keep children safe.

"i feel like it's working great, uh you know they take their temperature before they go in, they wear masks, there aren't as many students, they keep them separated, and so far it seams like everything is working good."

Classes are fully traditional, but guardians had the option to put their kids in distant learning.
