Roseburg community sadden by Sizzler closure

Sizzler is no more.

The popular spot has closed indefinitely due to coronavirus concerns and loyal customers are having a tough time saying good bye.

It was a special place for sure?

It the end of an era for the roseburg sizzler.

After nearly 40 years of serving up hot meals& and cold salads& loyal customers aren't ready to say goodbye.

Known for their massive salad bar& the owners were forced to toss things up once governor brown banned self-serve restaurants under phase one reopening.

They were making the salads for the customers& but it still kept them away.

Phoner: it not the same experience and i get that.

Also know that people are scared, theye concerned to be in public places?

Amy lay tells me she saw first hand what this restaurant means to the community.

00:49 evita: although nothing is official, i told the roseburg regular stop could reopen in the future.

The owners tell me they will re-evaluate their resources once the virus has passed... to see if the restaurant can make a comeback.?i hope.

The roseburg sizzler is one of eight locations owned by?double s foods?

A company based in springfield.

The owners told me the roseburg location is the last one to close down& because of how well it did in the community.

And customers say it for good reason& it just really sad.

The salad bar will be missed for sure?

They say it more than just a restaurant -- it a home to this small community.
