Today is national poll worker recruitment day... and the coronavirus pandemic has left the country with a critical shortage of poll workers for the november election.

The office says a normal election requires 15,000 poll workers.

During the primary... many polling site had to close because many poll workers fell into the over-55 group.... which was high risk for the coronavirus.

Recruiting volunteers led to a unique partnership between the secretary of state's office and the kentucky guild of brewers.

Together they designed beer labels that solicit younger volunteers to work the polls and encourage kentuckians to register to vote.
