Most parents we spoke too are excited about the new schedule while others believe the district is bringing students back to quickly.

Starting next week, students will spend the next month getting used to being in class four days a week instead of two under the current plan.

Starting september 21st, students in pre-k through 6th grade will attend school in person everyday but wednesday.

7th and 8th graders will begin the 4 day schedule the following week on the 28th...and high schoolers start on october 5th.

All students will be back in the classroom 5 days a week starting october 19th some parents say they're happy with the schedule change because virtual learning hasn't been easy.

Many families here in lauderdale county still don't have access to internet and they are still struggling as more students return to class, the district says they will increase their cleaning procedures and plan to hire more nurses.

The district will continue to monitor coronavirus cases in the county and make adjustments to the schedule as needed.
