Hurricane sally blows transformer in Pensacola leaving local residents without power

Tens of thousands have been left without power after Hurricane Sally approached the Gulf Coast of the US on September 15.

Footage filmed by Twitter user @LFigliolino shows Pensacola Beach in the pitch black after a transformer blew up leaving locals without electricity.

Local reports suggest that 56,000 and 31,000 homes have been relinquished of power in Alabama and Florida, respectively.
