absentee ballots coming

For the november election are starting to come in across the state..

As are requests for absentee ballots.

Voters will have three-weeks of in- person voting..

And there will be more election day voting locations this time around -- then there were in june.

Kentucky secretary of state michael adams says election officials have received more than 320-thousand requests for absentee ballots for the november election..

But that is about 80-thousand fewer than what was requested for the june primary.

In lexington -- there will be six in-person voting locations... including three at lexington public libraries..

If you plan to vote by absentee ballot... you can mail it or drop it off at one of the six new ballot drop boxes..

The county clerk is encouraging everyone to vote early..

Or request an absentee ballot by mail..

Fayette county clerk don blevins: "we can handle the mail volume here, it's not going to kill us.

What's hurting us is lack of location availability due to our circumstances here in town.

So, really asking people to vote by mail."

You only have until october 5th to register to vote..
