And, under the usda directive, students receive meals the day before they go home for distance learning days.

District director of finance and operations jennifer walsh says the district has learned to adjust "it's really being ready to change our plans at a moment's notice.

Last week the albert lea high schools moved to all distance learning due to a spike in cases at the school.

Walsh says the district is prepared for students to pick up meals at the high school and other sites.
