But weathering storms is something noxubee county is familiar with this year.

The tigers had to go full stop three weeks ago when the team went into quarantine because of a positive coronavirus test.

(jerome white) when we had the two weeks off we had to put in our mind that once we get back we have to put the work in because many of the other teams we're going against the had two weeks off, so we had to come out better and strong like they had to.

(track) white says not only do you have to miss football, you have to miss your teammates as well.

(marcardi johnson) it kind of hurt us but just two games to not play, but there was nothing to do when you're always around all your friends and teammates.

(track) and when quarantine is over, there's no waiting period, you need to be able to hit the ground running.

(teddy young) you gotta get your chemistry back together so that was a hard thing to overcome but i think we did pretty good in our rebound game.

(track) pretty good may be an understatement, they beat hatley 60 to nothing, setting up the showdown with choctaw county for the district title and because of the quarantine, tonight is only the tigers second home game this year and it's senior night.

(jerome) i'm pretty excited because it's our second home game we didn't have that many, just to come out see the fans excited, it's a pretty good thing to see.

(teddy) this senior group been working hard ever since we lost the state championship last year so we're chasing three championships right now we always say every year, district championship, north half state championship, and state championship.

This is the first one in line and to have it at home, couldn't ask for nothing better .
