In the midst of the pandemic ... a local church is making sure more than three thousand families have the groceries they need.

Each box contained meat, fresh vegetables, and fruit.

Senior pastor of community church of god jason mcclendon says... giving families one less thing to worry about... is what the community needs.

We know that we're still in a pandemic, there hasn't been any relief that has come to families.

We know things are kinda tight in the middle of the month- so we're just trying to help families get over the hump and be a blessing to the community.
