New Met Police chief pledges allegiance to King Charles

The new Commissioner of London’s Metropolitan Police Service - Sir Mark Rowley - has begun his first day in the job by taking an oath, known as an attestation, in which he pledged allegiance to the King and swore to serve "with fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality, upholding fundamental human rights and according equal respect to all people".
