Har Ghar Tiranga: BJP’s allies, opposition skip changing social media DP to tricolour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday changed the display picture (DP) of the accounts on his social media platforms to the tricolour and exhorted all to follow suit as part of the ongoing ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (grand celebrations for 75 years of independence). While Union ministers, BJP leaders, chief ministers and ministers of BJP-ruled states, party supporters and even government departments changed their DP to the national flag, others did not oblige. In effect, the initiative has got confined to being a BJP event.
