UNAMA reports increased violence against Shia, Hazara communities in Afghanistan

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has reported an increase in violence against the Shia and Hazara communities in Kabul, Balkh, and Herat provinces. Recent attacks on Shia Muslims in Herat have sparked strong reactions. Six individuals, including four men and two women, were killed in a shooting incident in the Hazara-populated area of Herat. In the past month, there have been several attacks on Hazara-populated areas in Kabul, resulting in numerous casualties.
