French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned protests in Paris that have recently turned violent.

According to CNN, over 130 people were arrested Saturday in protests across France.

Sources add two police officers and six other people were injured.

The protests began as a campaign against rising gas prices.

They have since turned into a wider demonstration against Macron's government.
