Mike Pence Dodges Border Questions

On Tuesday Vice President Mike Pence tackled many inquiries about President Trump's recent claims that his predecessors wished they had built walls.

On Friday Trump made the statement that previous presidents shared with him that border walls should have been built long ago.

Business Insider reports that since then, representatives for all four living former presidents have deemed Trump's claims false.

Pence offered a minimal defense of the remarks to NBC before shading away from the topic all together.

Pence says, "I know I've seen clips of previous presidents talking about the importance of border security, the importance of addressing the issue of illegal immigration."
