More Americans are cutting the cord.????For the first time, more households subscribe to a digital streaming service than to a traditional pay TV subscription.????That’s according to a new survey by Deloitte.????65% of respondents pay for a TV subscription.????69% have at least 1 streaming video subscription.????But one just doesn’t cut it.????The average consumer subscribes to 3 streaming services.????Even so, they still have trouble finding something good to watch.????47% feel they need several subscriptions to watch everything they want.????57% noticed their favorite shows have disappeared.????It’s because many studios and TV networks are launching their own streaming services.????Even though streaming services are popular, 43% of respondents have both pay TV and a streaming subscription.????But old staples like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon have more competition.????Apple is set to enter the streaming wars, but how much content Apple will have remains unclear.????Industry leaders are sure to keep a close eye on these changing trends.
