What to Expect from the Nov. 12 Disney+ Launch

Disney is firing on all cylinders ahead of the Disney+ launch.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said on a call with investors that the plan is to launch big and scale fast -- including both content and distribution.

Amazon is one of its partners in the launch, Disney announced this week.

Along with a variety of other platforms and televisions, Disney+ will be available on Amazon's Fire TVs.

Iger also said that feedback from a test tun in the Netherlands was very strong.

He didn't share specifics of how many Disney+ signups they received through a pre-sale effort, but noted that Disney sold a good number of 3-year packages, which will reduce churn.

He noted that interest in Disney+ is broad-based across demographic groups and across the various brands that will be included in the subscription, such as National Geographic, Disney Channel, Marvel, Pixar and others.
