Paradise couple returns home after cruise ship quarantine

The Paradise couple quarantined for weeks on the Grand Princess Cruise Ship and then Miramar Marine Corps base station are home at last.

Michele: gosh this morning nobody knocked on my door and nobody brought me breakfast and in a way i might wanna go back we were served three times a day and we had staff do whatever we wanted like gee steven and michele smithã kept*thi* same upbeat attitude throughout their 21 day quarantine - 7 days on the shipã then 14 days at a marine corps base in san diego.

Michele: it was kind of fun in the beginning it was a little adventure but then we saw the news and that changed everything and we were like wait what - we really didn't know what was going on.

And while some days were rough& michele: i did cry for the first time michele knew she couldn't give in to fear and depression.

Michele: so i just started to color and i haven't colored in decades and it took my focus off of how i was feel onto something else steven: we're glass half people and we really have a tendency to look at things in a much brighter light than many people do the couple had the silkshop in chico create and send these shirts to them.

Michele: february 21 is when we left we were quarantined on the ship march 4th and we were released march 25 steven: and it wasn't ever our intent to make light of this situation or the disease and seriousness it was really just to lift out own spirits and to help tell a story standup: a story that the couple will never forget& now 5 weeks after being away from their place in paradise they have just 5 days to pack upã having sold their home while away.

Michele: and i feel so good coming back to chico knowing that we are not infected and we aren't going to infect anyone else in fact that told us we are probably one of the safest people her in town steven: things are going to work out just fine we'll whether the storm right now we are down in the valley but we'll be back up on the top of the mountain before too long.
