To work from home...but now being forced into doing so...there are some stresses that come along with that.
News channel two's gary liberatore spoke with a local therapist about what patrents and kids can do to cope with at-home life until the new york pause is lifted.
May is mental health awareness month..and what better way to start it...than talking about what people are going through during this pandemic.... tc : 36:39 "first of all, here we are doing facetime, we can all do that most people right.
That's not so bad, it is being with a person not physically but your hearts can connect."
Elizabeth sleck is a licensed mental health counselor and director of the door counseling center of yorkville.

Sleck says this pandemic is effecting everyone...from seniors...to children....and to couples who may have always wanted to work from home, and are now forced to...and that means more time together... tc : 38:46 "yes you get married, you're married for good but you really aren't married for 24 seven..."
So what do you do as a couple?
One key for many couples is to each person...get your alone time in... tc : 39:02 : "so ld say you got to take care of yourself, you need to alone the hours, i gonna take awo hour bble bath and n't talko me& andaybe the manhas a s pandemic depression is a big issue.
Sleck says it's important to talk to your partner about how you are feeling, don't keep things inside.
And she says if you are at home alone...ask yourself this question... tc : 46:43 "should i call somebody now because i'm depressed, yes i should and they say well i don't wanna call them and burden them, hey if somebody's your friend or and they love you they want to talk tyou call them up."
Or facetime them or zoom them..do what you have to...but reach out for help.
