Several hundred protesters blocked traffic on a Los Angeles motorway on Wednesday, attacking two California Highway Patrol vehicles, in a demonstration over the death of an unarmed black man who was being taken into custody by police in Minneapolis.
The protesters gathered near Los Angeles City Hall, then marched through city streets before streaming on to a nearby freeway.
