Covid-19 task force continue to be concerned about the number of coronavirus cases in the hispanic community.

Hispanics account for six-percent of hamilton county's population, but 68-percent of the total positive cases.

The task force is looking at more ways to educate the community on safety, social distancing, and the importance of wearing masks.

The city also has free masks they received from the state that they are distributing.

While there was some confusion over the safety of the masks, the city has been assured the masks are safe.

I've been wearing one.

The mayor's been wearing one.

They are in circulation.

We are distributing them.

We've already made them available to some neighborhoods.

We are coming up with a distribution plan because those were intended to reach primarily our latinx neighborhoods.

Chattanooga will also be testing all city employees this week.

Mayor berke will be tested tomorrow.
