NEW HARTFORD REOPENING PLAN
NEW HARTFORD REOPENING PLAN

The Reopening Advisory Committee at the New Hartford Central School District is leaning toward a hybrid plan for the fall, wherein students would go to school for two days and learn remotely for three days each week.

New school year.

--two plans include in-person instruction only two days a week.

Newschannel 2s brent kearney now reports on the proposal being submitted to the state.

.

None .

None "given the guidelines as they exist today, we are working on our hybrid model on how we will be bringing our kids back for some in person instruction the three scenarios that district came up with were based off of the guidance sent by new york state on july 15th in the new hartford proposal...there are three scenarios.

The first where the class is split into group a and group b.

Group a reports monday and wednesday.

Group b tuesday and thursday.

--with virtual learning opposite days and on friday.

In the second scenario.... group a would meet monday and tuesday.

Group b wednesday and thursday.

--with virtual learning opposite days and on friday.

And in the third scenario.

K through 6 is in school every day.

And 7-12 are virtual every day.

" realize thatthis cf challenges with a host of avenues such as child care transportation.

But again this is within the cdc guidelines and the department of health guidelines."

Now the district says this is just a proposal and is not final.

The plans will be submitted to the state for feedback and a final plan would be approved during the week of august 1st through the 7th.

If you would like to provide feedback.
