Ahead of a 16th January rollout of the Covishield vaccine, 3 truckloads of the vaccines were despatched from the Serum Institute facility in Pune this Tuesday morning.
The trucks were sent off ceremoniously with the Deputy commissioner of police Namrata Patil cracking open a coconut to flag them off.
They are now headed to various locations across India.
