RESIDENT RECALLS TORNADO

Experience was like.

Kennyfollowing the deadly tornado that tore through the palmetto area saturday morning...one resident recounts what it was like leading up to...and after the storm.

Nat: 'm just grateful, 'm grateful.

I realize that you know we have a lot of material things, i's not that important.vo: carol johnson tademy says alerts warning of possible tornadic activity woke her up early saturday morning.

Sot: i was awakened by the emergency alert that comes on your phone.

So, i kept turning it off because i was't getting up.vo: she turned on her t-v and saw the reports from meteorologists.

Tha's when she knew it was serious and started gathering her family together.sot: when we started looking out, and i did see it approach over the trees.

And we just got in the bathroom, huddled together, praying of course.vo: her home was't damaged...but when she stepped outsideshe realized her brothe's home was gone.sot: we realized that nothing was there, and his vehicles were't there.

So, as we were approaching, all of the vehicles were tossed in the field next to it and his home was here.vo: it did't take long before she found her brother and his wife...alive...in a ditch.sot: the tornado had taken them over to this area.

So, we found them right past this pole area in the ditch.vo: she says she is grateful that god was with them that morning.

3 sot: i think god spared them because he wants to make them a mission for him.

Not saying that the're drawing people to them but i's going to be through them that he uses them to draw people to him.

Kennytademy says her brother and his wife are still in the hospital but are expected to make a full recovery...live in
