Israeli police have attacked dozens of worshippers in Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque compound injuring seven people, according to witnesses.
It was not immediately clear what actually sparked the violence.
The Israeli police said it used force to evacuate worshippers who were holed up at the mosque with fireworks, rocks, and sticks.
The raid took place before dawn today with Israeli police claiming that they were infact responding to “rioting”.
