FDA authorizes Moderna's Covid vaccine for emergency use

The FDA has authorized emergency use of local biotech Moderna Inc.’s Covid-19 vaccine, giving the company its first commercial product and adding a new line of defense against the virus.  Federal regulators will allow the drug to be administered to adults age 18 and older.
