Why Mamata Banerjee’s plastered leg has become a slugfest between BJP and TMC

The controversy arising out of West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s leg injury has not yet died down. Both the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and its main rival, the BJP have locked horns in a bid to score points over each other. While Mamata tries to draw as much sympathy as possible from the powerful imagery of the plastered leg, the BJP is making all efforts to ensure that she does not derive political mileage out of the incident.
