Congress wins 2 of 4 assembly bypolls; TMC wrests Asansol LS from BJP

The Congress won assembly bypolls in Kolhapur (N) in Maharashtra and Khairagarh in Chhattisgarh. RJD won the Bochahan seat in Bihar, while Trinamool Congress won the Ballygunge seat in Kolkata. Asansol, the only Lok Sabha seat for which bypoll was held, was won by Trinamool Congress by a comfortable margin.
