BJP is set to take power from the Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, while retaining power in Madhya Pradesh. With this, the Congress, the second-largest national party, will be left with governments in only three states. The BJP, on the other hand, is on track to govern 12 states, including Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh. The Congress will now have independent governments in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana.
