Case against BJP's Amit Malviya for Sandeshkhali 'barbs' at Bengal CM

The Bengal finance minister, Chandrima Bhattacharya, has filed an FIR against Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP IT cell, for making criminal and contemptuous allegations. Malviya claimed that the suspect in the Sandeshkhali ED attack, Sheikh Shahjahan, had the patronage of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while on the run. Bhattacharya accused Malviya of defaming the highest administrative chair in Bengal and urged the police to treat her complaint as an FIR. Malviya also posted a photo of the CM with an imprisoned TMC leader, Anubrata Mondal, which Bhattacharya mentioned in her FIR.
