UUP’s Empey calls for clarification on ex-Irish justice minister’s remarks on IRA amnesty

A UUP peer has called on the British-Irish Intergovernmental Conference to “seek clarification” from the Republic of Ireland regarding remarks made by former justice minister Michael McDowell about Dublin operating a “unilateral amnesty for the IRA”.
