These areas are set to become outdoor dining areas for restaurants.
Chico public works says local contractors knife river construction and slater & sons donated the barriers and helped install them...saving local businesses thousands of dollars.
Public works says restaurants will still need to complete outdoor dining cafe permits, but will be able to move much faster with these in place.###
City officials began installing safety barriers near restaurants to help them expand their outdoor dining areas.
