Heavy rain causes flooding in New Delhi

Residents battle through flooded roads in Delhi, India, on August 19 after the area was hit with severe monsoon rain.

Footage is from the village of Kirari Suleman Nagar where the deluge forced many to wade through the dirty water.

Across India, the death toll from the annual monsoons this year has risen to more than 1,300 with millions displaced from damaged homes.
