House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reports outside the White House Tuesday that there was no new movement on the debt limit deadlock shortly after meeting with President Biden and other top congressional lawmakers.
Speaker McCarthy said that during the meeting, he reiterated to Biden that there were two weeks left until a government default.
