Hayley they tell me the investigation is complete with 2 people testing positive for covid-19 almaguer: we worked closely with the organizations leader but not everyone has contacted public health butte county health public information officerãlisa almaguerãtold me they aren't sure if everyone who was at that mother's day service at the palermo bible family church actually got tested.
Almaguer: any time you have a large group of people together in a closed space for a period of time especially when people are seated close together or singing for a prolonged period of time there's a much greater risk for exposure standup: we wanted to ask the pastor of the church about butte county public health departments comment but he wasn't home almaguer: in the past couple weeks we have seen an increase in cases especially in the oroville area but we've seen in increase in cases in other areas as well almaguer says regardless of the mother's day gathering they urge people to get tested.
Almaguer: it gives us more information more data we can understand how our community has been impacted but also we can identify the infected person and help them safely isolate so they no longer are a risk to others.
