This comes after alabama's alcohol beverage control board removed the time limit put in place to help fight the spread of coronavirus.

Sierra, how do bar owners say this will affect them?

This morning bar owners say now that they can stay open until 2 a.m.

It will help them make ends meet.

The owner of furniture factory says when the original time limit started in august, he's seen a 40 percent decrease in income.

The abc board's decision went into effect immediately --- something diamonds sports bar manager michael stewart says couldn't have come at a better time.

Michael stewart/ manager "it's nice to know that, especially with the holidays coming up, that i'm going to be able to take care of my family the way i need to."

Masks are required at bars and resturants unless people are sitting at a table, and eating or drinking and social distancing should be enforced.

The a-b-c board says law enforcement will be checking on bars regularly to ensure they are following all guidelines.
